teaching

jung eun lee has been directing, lecturing, and instructing art workshops, courses, and classes and curating exhibitions internationally for nearly two decades.

she believes in the existence of artistic instinct and sensibility in every human being, and the value of visual art as a communicative vehicle for individuals to relate to / responds to / express their own spirituality and/or of society. through emphasis in the deliberate slowing and mindfulness during the creation process, the artist tries to guide her students to practice self-reflection, self-discipline and to challenge one’s self, in addition to creative thinking and learning artistic techniques.

her teaching approach draws from the breadth of her own artistic practice and other background such as art therapy (northwestern university), educational psychology & art education (national teaching certificate for upper school, south korea), early childhood education (reggio emillia) and different disciplines from eastern traditional art and western contemporary art.
